In this song, a woman is expressing her thanks to her man for being content to stand in the shadows and let her have the glory.  But she also wants to know that his willingness to put his ego aside for her was not only noticed, but greatly appreciated.  She acknowledges that he was the strength behind her success--that she would be "nothing without her" and that he "is her hero".)

We go back to 1959 for one of the earliest of the great love songs in the Rock Era.  The protagonist is oblivious to everything else around him, the stars, the clouds, the moon, other people.  He has one thing on his mind, and that is her!

Jim Steinman wrote these amazing lyrics to this great love song.  Every time the protagonist gets lonely, tired, nervous, or terrified, she sees the look in his eyes, and all is well.  She says that if "he will only hold her tight, they'll be holding on forever".  She knows there is "no one in the universe as magical and wondrous as him."
